Here is a site that has a list of weird laws for each state. Did you know that in the state of Oregon it's illegal to box with a kangaroo? Now you know ;-)

These are known as the green laws.
I've talked with a developer on one of these stupid law sites and asked him to cite his sources. He said you can find all the laws on file a county library. I wanted a copy of the "Its illegal to buy a mattress on Sunday" law in Washington so I could harass people at a BedMart. I called Clark County, and also Washinton County to check on some of the Oregon ones.
The response: In 2001, Oregon went through and repealed all of the Green Laws after some guy pulled a stunt in downtown Portland involving cattle getting the right of way during certain hours of the day (Around rush hour).I wish I had thought of that one. Washington did it in 2002. All these websites have sources that are atleast 3 years old. Oregon was not the first to get rid of their Green Laws either. So some of the states "stupid laws" haven't been laws for even longer.
